The Bookshelf was designed by Diane Tribitt to offer some good reading material suggestions to both avid and occasional readers alike.  The books may be old or new releases; but whatever the case, they are worth a read or they wouldn't be here!  We have included links to the authors, if you can't seem to find the book on a shelf anywhere.

 

 

 

RickHuffRick Huff's Best of the West Reviews is another ongoing page that is filled with Rick's personal thoughts on new cowboy music and poetry CD and DVD releases - music and poetry done "the cowboy way."  Rick calls it as he sees it (or hears it) and offers some great insight to the individual performers, their style and their overall product.  Links for contacting or ordering are also included.

Paul Pumpian majored in TV Writing And Production at the University of North Carolinaand went on to write for dozens of TV variety shows, industrial films and radio commercials. He’s penned 3 National Magazine short stories; a comedy album and has written material for Friar’s Roasts, Golden Boot Awards and numerous stand-up comedians. For 23 years, he was a steady contributor to the “Blondie” comic strip.

 

He has owned, bred, raced and shown a number of World and National Champion Appaloosa horses.

 

Pumpian’s years of research into the American West and the Mexican Revolutionary period of 1911-1918 led to the writing of “Compadres” where his fictional characters blend with historical personalities and events.
