Enter a new type of enigmatic personality of the Old West, a cowboy-soldier.  Surviving on sheer strength of will and physicality, they met the psyhological desires of their imagination.  Masters of their own fate, they were thrust into adventure and comradeship.  At home in nature, their intense contacts with a heightened reality allowed them to discover their own distinctive traits of courage and perseverance.
