JoniHarms4When a person reflects on where life has taken them, it usually takes them back to their roots, their childhood.  Some of the most unforgettable memories bind us to the home and the land of our growing years.  In this particular memory, it was Christmas Eve as 9-year old Joni and her family sat in front of the Christmas tree to open gifts.  "Dad asked me to go out to the barn with him to check cows," Joni recalled.  "...and there was Old Midnight in the barn, my Christmas gift.  I used this horse through all my rodeo and 4H events and gave riding lessons on him throughout high school.  He was a little wonder horse that lived to be 33...and he is buried right here at the ranch.
